Joyce Kathleen's Story
Life
I grew up on Shurtleff ave. Napa, until age 12 then we moved to Big Ranch road where I attended 7-10 Grade at Redwood Junior High. At 16 yr my parents moved us to 2nd Ave where I completed 11th and 12 grades. I graduated midyear 1966 and married Dan Anthony we lived in in 1969 we had our daughter Afton Kathleen Anthony and we moved from in the city to Hagen Rd. (a yr after high school I went to work for Pacific Telephone Co and worked as an information Operator for 7yrs and then 3 yrs on the Frames connecting and disconnecting up dail tones for phone service) I quit there in 1977 and in 1978 we moved to Arcata, CA near Humboldt state University. In 1979 my husband Dan died in a private airplane crash out of Murray Field between Eureka and Arcata, CA. y for a yr.) Then moved back to Napa in 1987. Began work as a Security Officer working at 5 or 6 of the Wineries in the Valley--mainly at Beringer Vineyards for 6 yrs. Met my husband Craig Wetherbee(grew up in Santa Barbara, CA) and have been married for 18 yrs. We moved from Napa in 1995 because Mare Is was closing down and my husband needed to transfer to keep working. We moved to San Jose CA until 1998 when we moved to Salida, CA which was a very small town which has been growing in leaps and bounds but is still smaller than Napa. I worked in Security until 2005 and now I am a homemaker and I research family genealogy for all of the branches of our families. Which is very time consuming but very rewarding for us. We are looking forward to husbands retirement so we may go camping and maybe even traveling the USA to see thing and places we didn't have a chance to see while working.
